Families United Network (FUN) is an Albany County family organization providing parent-to-parent support around the issues of raising a child with special social, behavioral, and/or emotional needs. Any Albany County family caring for a child with such issues may request our services.

FUN provides support services designed to help families learn better ways to cope with a child's challenging behaviors, navigate the child-serving systems to access appropriate services, and provide emotional support to parents and caregivers. These services may include:

  • Community-based support groups
  • Parent advocacy with the child-serving systems
  • Information
  • Referral services
  • Social events
  • Newsletter
  • Training and educational activities

Albany County families are joining together for a better future for our children. Through your participation, you will:

  • Meet and talk with other parents who have "difficult" children to share common concerns and experiences and exchange information.
  • Build a strong network of families for information and support, and provide a united voice regarding policy and service development.
  • Learn more about ways to help your child and yourself.
  • Improve the community's understanding of families caring for children with special emotional, social, and behavioral needs.

YOU NO LONGER HAVE TO FEEL ALONE!
