Parsons offers a range of education and related services for children in residential care, day
students referred to the Neil Hellman School, and public school students with serious emotional,
behavioral, and learning disabilities including:
Neil Hellman School provides 160 students in grades 1 through 12 with integrated educational
and clinical services 48 weeks per year.
Day Treatment serves youth who are experiencing school-related and/or family problems.
Day Treatment provides a stable, consistent environment where emotional and educational needs can be met. This is an integrated approach to treatment with a focus on therapeutic and educational goals.
Albany School Support II Project is located in the Schuyler Achievement Academy and the
Sheridan Preparatory Academy, and is designed to provide services to elementary school-aged children who have emotional or behavioral needs, as well as provide support to the families of these children.
Work Appreciation for Youth experiences are designed to help at-risk youth see the value
of education and work, and develop skills for getting and keeping a job.
Early Head Start -serving the city of Schenectady-offers day care opportunities for income
eligible families.
