Many programs work with families in their home communities to help families remain together whenever possible, with all children being provided safe, nurturing, predicable environments. Community-based programs afford families the opportunity to receive excellent services that would otherwise not be available to those who lack transportation or who are employed and cannot take time off from work without suffering a loss of income.
