Sidney Albert Training and Research Institute
The Sidney Albert Training and Research Institute (SATRI) works collaboratively with
businesses, human service agencies, school districts, and institutes of higher learning to
provide training opportunities to professionals, community members, and directly to
children and families. Training, research, customized curriculum development, program
evaluation, professional library resources, innovative projects, and individualized

Curriculum Planning and Development
SATRI has a proven track record of developing a course of instruction which will achieve your training goals by engaging the learner and making learning enjoyable and effective. SATRI will provide consultation, evaluation, state-of-the-art research, and subject matter experts to develop trainer-ready curriculum. All curriculum is developed with experienced curriculum developers and recognized expert consultants. SATRI curriculum development includes:

Customized Training
Customized training and consultation are available through
SATRI. A team of experts is available to work with schools,
industry and other agencies, providing workshops in conflict
management, therapeutic response, management information,
quality improvement, team building, stress reduction,
and a host of other topics.
Professional Development
- Employees of Parsons are able to continue their professional development through the regular attendance at seminars, workshops, and certificate programs sponsored and organized by SATRI.
- Continual quality improvement is facilitated through the Institute, which assists organizations in program planning, implementation, and evaluation. In addition, the Action Research Model is taught to solve problems and bring about change. The model is based on research, action, and review.
Personal Development
- Institute staff regularly offer parenting classes to parents, guardians, and foster parents. These classes are designed to transmit skills necessary to provide structure and nurturance for their children. Classes create the opportunity to share skills, knowledge, and expertise with one another while learning new techniques to assist their families.
- Youth living in residence or foster care are assisted in developing a series of independent living skills. Individuals ages 16 to 21 participate in simulated and hands on experiential classes. Subject areas include money management, nutrition and food preparation, job skills, apartment hunting and living on your own, heath issues and first aid.
Conference Services
SATRI provides conference development and planning services which include contracting with conference sites and speakers, conference registration services, aggregating conference evaluation data, brochure design, and reproduction and distribution of workshop materials.
